Join us on this 7-day-long, guided tour of Turkey and get the chance to visit 7 UNESCO World Heritage sites in the country. Starting from Istanbul, this trip will take you to Gallipoli, Dardanelles, Troy and Ephesus before coming to an end in Cappadocia.

Encounter the remains of nine different cities built on top of one another in Troy. Travel to Ephesus and see the ruins of its colossal Greek theatre. Visit Aphrodisias, the city of art and beauty that is dedicated to the goddess Aphrodite and visit the Whirling Dervish Museum in Konya.

The final destination on the itinerary is Cappadocia, where you will get the chance to see a unique landscape that has been formed by volcanic rock formations eroded by the elements. Also get the chance to tour the amazing underground churches and cities carved into the rocks by early Christians.

Day 1

Visit the Rustem Pasha Mosque, known for its exquisite tiles, and the spice market before leaving Istanbul. Travel to Gallipoli to see the World War I memorial as well as ANZAC Cove, Chunuk Bair and the Lone Pine Cemetery. Take a ferry to Canakkale, a small city on the Dardanelles across from Gallipoli.

Day 2

Travel to the legendary city of Troy and see a replica of the Trojan Horse. Also see the layers of nine different cities and settlement built on top of one another in this place. Afterwards, we will drive to Pergamon to see the Asklepion, which was perhaps the ancient world’s most famous medical centre. Drive to Kusadasi and check into your hotel for a two-night stay.

Day 3

Head for Ephesus and see its colossal Greek theatre, which is still used for performances today. Among the many things that you will see today are the Marble Road, Celsus Library and the Temple of Diana.

Visit the house where Virgin Mary is said to have spent her final days and the Ephesus Museum in Selcuk. Explore Claros, an ancient sanctuary where you can see a temple dedicated to Apollo.

Day 4

Drive to Aphrodisias, the city of art and beauty that is dedicated to Aphrodite. See an ancient temple as well as the marble theatre and the famous stadium, the largest and best preserved ancient stadium in the world that seats over 30,000.

Also explore the spectacular Aphrodisias Museum. Travel to Laodicea, home to one of the Seven Churches of Revelation and a well preserved ancient city built on the River Lycus. Continue your journey to Pamukkale, also called Hierapolis. See its ancient necropolis as well as Pluto’s Gate.

Tonight you will be staying in a spa hotel where you can swim in its heated pools of mineral-enriched water.

Day 5

Drive to Konya to visit the Whirling Dervish Museum, a holy place for Turkish Muslims. See the exhibits that includes Dervish costumes, instruments, illuminated manuscripts and various artefacts. Also visit the Karatay Madrasa, a 13th century school that has now been turned into a museum that displays ceramics and other relics from the past. Spend your night in Cappadocia.

Day 6

Get the chance to see the unique landscape dominated by volcanic rock formations that have been sculpted by the elements over ages in the Magic Valley. Take a tour of the amazing underground churches and cities that were carved into rocks by early Christians.

Travel to small villages in the surrounding areas and learn more about the life of the people. Explore the open-air museums of Goreme and Zelve. Also visit the Pasabag Valley, known for its unique, conical rock formations; Uchisar Castle; and the underground city of Kaymakli. You also have the option to choose a hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia if you want to.

Day 7

Its time to leave Cappadocia and head home after breakfast.
