Manila International Airport
3 Hours Before Flight Time
Upon your arrival at Manila International Airport, a private driver will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. Since you will be in the heart of the business district, you can take the opportunity to visit the city center, stroll through its streets, and eat in one of the many rooftop restaurants while gazing at magnificent skyscrapers as the sun sets! In the evening, enjoy an all-Filipino fiesta buffet dinner while watching a 45min cultural presentation. Feel genuine Filipino hospitality and get to experience our many mouth-watering and authentic dishes inspired by Spanish cuisine. If you’re keen, you can even dance with the performers and try our traditional dance of Tinikling.
After breakfast, your private airport transfer will be waiting to take you to the airport for your flight to Dumaguete. Once there, another private transfer will pick you up and take you to your hotel within the town. In the early afternoon, local indigenous artist Nicky Dumapit will meet you for a tour in his humble workshop. You will get to see all of his handcrafted musical instruments made of bamboo, recycled materials, and other unique items. Furthermore, you will be able to design your own bird-caller bamboo necklace and a thunder clapper or rain maker of your choice. Embrace your inner artist and create amazing local musical instruments!
Call-time for the island hopping to Apo Island will be at 7:00AM. Get ready for today’s adventure! Apo Island is a marine sanctuary that protects the sea turtles of Dumaguete. Here you are 100% sure to swim with turtles as they consider this sanctuary their home. Enjoy swimming with these graceful creatures in their natural habitat. This tour is a group tour and it will take you to the best spots in Apo Island Marine Sanctuary so you can swim directly with the turtles that are protected in this area. Make sure to bring your underwater camera to take those cool underwater snapshots!
After breakfast, a private transfer will be waiting for you to embark on a trip to paradise! Danjugan Island is a lush 43-hectare island and marine sanctuary on the southwestern coast of Negros Occidental. Danjugan boasts 5 lagoons and is covered with limestone forests, providing asylum to many wildlife species that struggle to exist in the mainland. This includes at least 72 species of birds, 10 bat species, 22 butterfly species, 17 mangroves species, and 572 fish species. Your day will be devoted to exploring this sanctuary, including a guided bird watching, snorkeling, and kayaking!
Today you’ll have the entire day to enjoy the beauty of Danjungan Island! Go for some more bird watching, or enjoy snorkeling and kayaking.
After breakfast, enjoy the day birding in the mountains of Valencia with the experienced local guides of Dumaguete. Get ready to ride a motorbike as the location is a bit far from the mainland. But surely, you will reap the rewards of this trip! Enjoy looking out for the many interesting endemic species of Dumaguete and Negros Islands, such as the spotted wood kingfisher, flame templed babbler, striped babbler, and white winged cuckooshrike. After today’s tour you will be driven back to Dumaguete, where you can rest and review the birding photos that you took throughout the day.
After breakfast, a private transfer will be waiting to drop you off to the airport, where you can take your flight back to Manila. With enough time you will then transfer to your designated terminal to catch your international flight back home. Happy travels, and visit again soon!
