Day 1

Welcome to England!

After landing at the airport in London, you will be driven to your hotel in the city. Check-in and then set out on the "Nice to Meet You London" walking tour. You will be introduced to London’s most famous landmarks beginning with Buckingham Palace – the home of the Queen! Next comes a pleasant walk in one of the most beautiful royal parks – St James’s Park! We head towards Piccadilly – London's meeting point. This is a lively place with a fantastic cosmopolitan atmosphere. You can admire the statue of Eros and the lights of Piccadilly before we continue to Trafalgar Square – the very heart of London! After taking in the grandeur and bustling atmosphere of this iconic square, we'll continue on to Westminster to see 10 Downing Street, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Big Ben.

Day 2

Discover the Treasures of the British Museum

Get ready to have a fascinating time at the British Museum - one of the most visited museums in the world! Here, you will encounter a fabulous mix of history, archeology and art. Ancient artifacts and paintings from the greatest masters are all on display here. As the largest museum in the world, the British Museum covers 18 acres (the equivalent of nine football pitches) and has more than 8 million objects in its collection. Highlights include the Rosetta Stone, the Winged Bulls from ancient Assyria, Lion Hunt Reliefs from Nineveh, Egyptian mummies, and the Mildenhall Treasure, a collection of Roman silver tableware from the 4th century.

Day 3

Visit Mysterious Stonehenge

Today's adventure takes you to Stonehenge, where you will discover why these 5,000 year old stones on Salisbury Plain are considered a national treasure! Stonehenge is a wonder of ancient achievement and an enduring symbol of mystery. During your visit, you will hear the legends about Stonehenge, find different types of stones and settings, listen to the stories about the origin of the stones, and attempt to answer the question that has puzzled historians for thousands of years - why was Stonehenge built? Your guide will help you solve the mystery. Later, continue your journey to Exeter - the principal town of beautiful Devon! Your guide will take you on an orientation tour around center of this historic city, which dates back to Roman times.

Day 4

Explore the Harbor Towns of Sunny Devon

Today is devoted to an exploration of sunny Devon! The first stop will be Torquay - a lovely resort on the English Riviera where you can enjoy a bit of sunbathing. Continue the morning of sunshine and relaxation with a stroll in the fishing town of Brixham where Sir Francis Drake's ship - Golden Hind - is permanently moored. Later, drive through the magnificent landscape of Dartmoor National Park - an enchanting wilderness, before continuing on to Buckfast Abbey where you'll learn how Benedictine monks have lived and prayed for nearly 1,000 years. Then, continue onto the market town of Tavistock, known as the hometown of Sir Francis Drake. Our final destination for today is Falmouth, a town steeped in fascinating maritime heritage and one of the Southwest's leading cultural destinations.

Day 5

Discover the Magnificent Gardens of Cornwall

Get ready for a glorious day discovering the great gardens of Cornwall! Cornwall is home to some of the nation's most beautiful gardens, with rare and exciting plants and trees. Discover the magic of two great gardens - Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Go on a spectacular adventure to see Eden's famous biomes, the world’s largest greenhouses which nestle in a giant 50-meter-deep crater, forming the centerpiece of a stunning global garden. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are another piece of paradise with an amazing collection of exotic and sub tropical plants and trees. The tour continues to the south coast of Cornwall, where you can take in panoramic views of the Roseland Heritage Coast. This "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty" has wonderful coastal scenery, majestic cliffs, beaches and creeks.

Day 6

Marvel at the Cornish Coastline

Today, we'll explore the Cornish peninsula, renowned for the exceptional beauty of its coastline and countryside. Here in Cornwall, you can easily reach the westernmost and the southernmost tips of England! The spectacular landscape you'll discover, makes Cornwall one of Britain's most distinctive and visited counties. Highlights of the day include: Land's End, Lizard's Point, the incredible Minack Theatre built into the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, and last but not least St Michael's Mount, a tidal island off the coast with a 17th century castle dramatically perched atop. We'll make stops at the magnificent Porthcurno beach and the artistic haven of St Ives.

Day 7

Delve into the Legends of King Arthur

This morning, we'll embark on an adventure to the land of King Arthur and his brave knights! We'll visit Launceston, the ancient capital of Cornwall with its 12th century Norman keep overlooking Bodmin Moor. This special place is the resting place of King Arthur's sword Excalibur. We'll head to Tintagel Castle, the birthplace of mighty King Arthur. Immerse yourself in medieval myths and dramatic scenery at Tintagel Castle set high on Cornwall's rugged north coast. After lunch in the town of Port Isaac, set out for a walk along the cliffs of Cornwall. Perranporth path provides excellent cliff top walking. Keep your eye out for the bird life and wild flowers. The views are truly outstanding, the sea looks so clear at the base of the cliffs and rocks. To hear the sea crashing below and the big wide sky is heaven.

Day 8

Encounter the Charming City of Bath

Today we depart Cornwall and travel to historic Bath. Upon arrival, set out on the "Welcome to Bath" walking tour to discover a city built for pleasure nearly 2000-years-ago. This was the center of fashion and entertainment in Georgian England, striking all visitors with its elegance and grace, stylish shops, galleries, and museums. Since Roman times, people came to Bath to take to the waters. Today we've come to Bath to enjoy the historic heritage, stunning architecture, and the well preserved Roman Baths. In the late afternoon we depart for Heathrow for aan overnight in a hotel in the airport area, conveniently located for your departure the next day.

Day 9

Goodbye, England!

Your adventure in southwestern England comes to an end today. After checking out of your hotel this morning, you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home. We hope you have had an unforgettable time exploring the beautiful coastal regions of the Cornish Peninsula as well as London and Bath, and we wish you pleasant onward travels.
