Itineraries

Day 1

Welcome To Iceland!

Today, you'll land at Keflavik International Airport outside of Reykjavik. Upon arrival, you'll take a bus transfer to central Reykjavik to check into your hotel and spend a free day in town. In the evening, embark on a boat tour in search of the Northern Lights with local experts. Last, pick up and drop off from your hotel in town and spend the night in Reykjavik.

Day 2

Explore The Waterfalls & Hot Springs Of The West

This morning, you will be picked up at your hotel and taken to pick up your rental car. Now it's time for you to begin your self-driving adventure in Iceland! First, you'll head north, towards Iceland's West Coast and the stunning Snaefellsnes Peninsula to see the waterfall duet of Hraunfossar, the “Lava Falls” and Barnafoss, the “Children's waterfall," regarded as some of the most unique and spectacular waterfalls in Iceland, where clear subterranean water seeps through lava fields, pouring out of the rocks. Next, you'll drive through quaint Reykholt, one of Iceland's most ancient towns and home to the most famous poet of the Settlement time, Snorri Sturluson. History lovers will delight in the exhibition about him. Finally, you'll continue to Deildartunguhver, the largest and most powerful hot spring in Europe before taking a dip in the geothermal waters of Krauma baths.

Day 3

Drive The Golden Circle & Ride A Snowmobile Across A Glacier

Start the morning at the famous Golden Circle to witness some of Iceland’s most stunning highlights. You'll drive through Thingvellir National Park, to visit the geothermal area of geysers, where Strokkur, the most active geyser of all erupts every 5-10 minutes, throwing a column of water 20 to 30 meters into the air! Next, you'll witness the powerful Gullfoss Waterfall, which rushes down from two tiers into an ancient valley, as well as, the KeridCrater, an ancient volcano crater now filled with lake waters. Finally, stop for lunch at a local farm before embarking on a snowmobile tour on Langjokullglacier. After your snowmobile adventure, the Secret Lagoon, the oldest hot spring in Iceland, is just the right place to end a wonderful day.

Day 4

Journey Along The South Coast To Vik

Today, you'll drive along Iceland's south coast for some stunning natural wonders, such as Seljalandfoss and Skogarfosswaterfalls, before reaching the quaint village of Vik where you'll spend the night. Later in the afternoon, grab your helmet and put your crampons on to glacier walk on Myrdalsjokullglacier! The tour lasts about 3 hours. Afterward, spend a free evening in town. Overnight in Vik area for two nights.

Day 5

Walk Through An Extraordinary Glacier Ice Cave

Continue your Iceland adventure east across the stunning Skaftafell National Park to reach the famous Jokullsarlon Glacier Lagoon. Here, you'll witness floating icebergs slowly approaching the nearby Diamond black sand lava beach, from which they drift into the ocean. Join an extraordinary tour to a blue glacier ice cave under the mighty Vatnajokull glacier. This is definitely the highlight of your winter trip. Ice caves are carved under the glacier each year in a different way and in spring they meltdown again! Later, continue to Hofnfor lunch in the “lobster capital of Iceland” before starting the drive back to the Vik area for the night. Along the way, you could take a detour to visit the stunning serpent-shaped Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon.

Day 6

End Your Iceland Adventure At The Blue Lagoon!

After breakfast, you'll start your drive back and check out some sights you may have missed along the way. Visit the beautiful DyrolhaeyBasalt Arch, just outside Vik and Reynisfjarablack sand lava beaches or the famous abandoned plane wreck, which is nearby and reachable by bus. You'll continue your drive along Iceland's main ring road and turn off onto the Reykjanespeninsula. Finally, you have arrived at the Blue Lagoon. End your week-long Iceland trip in the geothermal hot waters of this legendary hot spring. You'll spend the night in the area which is close to the airport.After breakfast, you'll start your drive back and check out some sights you may have missed along the way. Day 7

Goodbye, Iceland!

After a delicious breakfast, you'll head to Keflavik Airport to drop off your rental car and get ready for departure. If time permits, you could add-on some additional activities, such as a 1-hour dog-sledding tour, or spend your time driving around the Reykjanes peninsula.
