Today, we proceed to port to board your cruise for a magnificent journey to the land of Alaska. Enjoy your stay in Inside cabins.
The breakfast is served at the Lido deck or the Dining Rooms. You can also order your breakfast at your room. After breakfast going to the open deck and enjoying the glaciers around you while the ship sails at a low speed for you to capture the every moment of scenic beauty and breathe taking experiences. The fabled Inside Passage is one of the most scenic sea-lanes in the world, and one of the few where deep-draft vessels can sail close to steep mountain walls. The scenery is unbelievable, with forests in a hundred shades of green, tumbling turquoise glaciers, and evocative towns loaded with history, culture and adventure. With most of Southeast Alaska accessible only by boat or plane, the Inside Passage is a lifeline to the outside world. All day long it hums with activity
After breakfast the guests and get off the ship and take one of our recommended shore excursions or just walk around the pier. Ketchikan is famous for diamonds and diamond jewelry. Ketchikan clutches the shores of the Tongass Narrows, with many shops and houses built right out over the water. The stairways are weathered and the vibe is cheerful in the town that calls itself the Salmon Capital of the World. Besides the main attractions – Creek Street, the Tongass Historical Museum, Totem Bight State Park and Saxman Village – try a flight seeing trip to Misty Fjords National Monument. These deepwater fjords were gouged out by retreating glaciers, leaving granite cliffs towering thousands of feet above the sea and countless waterfalls plunging into placid waters. When the ships sails from Ketchikan you can sit at the deck and watch the ship sailing at a slow speed and enjoy the inside passage of Alaska.
Juneau is the capital of Alaska and one of the most famous cities to see Salmons and king crabs. The ship reaches the port in the afternoon so our guests have ample of time to walk around the ship, participate in a trivia or a treasure hunt that is arranged for you by the onboard staff. When the ship docks in Alaska we recommend you take one of the shore excursions from the ship, as they say no roads lead to Juneau, which gives the Alaskan capital a misty inscrutability. You need to come by air or water, but when you arrive, the place will delight you with its bounty of water, forests, and mountains. Squeezed between the Gastineau Channel and Coast Mountains, Juneau offers a lot of variety in close proximity. The massive Mendenhall Glacier and the immense Juneau Icefields are at its back door. The vast Tongass National Forest stretches away to the northeast. You can shop downtown or get out and kayak, dogsled, raft, hike, whale watch, flightsee or fish. The adventures are as bountiful as the daylight. The guests can come back on the ship by 9:00 pm hence have ample of time to walk around the city, buy souvenirs or simply sit at an open bar and enjoy the Alaskan Beer.
Skagway is one of the little towns with rich scenic beauty and sea life. The main business comes to Skagway from the cruise ships and tourists. After the breakfast, the guests must visit one of our recommended tours which include the Gold Rush National Park. Some of the aspiring Klondike gold rushers who made it to Skagway took a look at the 500-mile journey that still lay ahead of them and decided a change of profession was in order. So many of them set up shop as provisioners that Skagway was the largest city in Alaska by the end of the 19th century. Booms fade and dreams move on, but the glory days still reverberate through the town. Ride the antique White Pass & Yukon narrow-gauge railway, step into the Red Onion Saloon or peruse the restored buildings. The guests can choose to come on board for dinner and enjoy broadway shows in the main theatre
Day18:-Tracy Arm Fjords:
On the third day the ship sails through the most popular spot of Alaska that is the Tracy Arm Fjords. The ship takes a halt for half an hour or so for you to capture those melting Glaciers in your camera and camcorder. Do not forget to take a camera with a good zoom and clarity as the melting of ice is a natural phenomenon and you don’t want to mis-out n anything. Nestled between 3,000-foot high granite walls, the narrow, twisting slice of ocean called Tracy Arm Fjord weaves through the Tongass National Forest for roughly 35miles. The shoreline is spotted with waterfalls created by melting snowcaps and trees sprouting at odd angles from rocky outcroppings. The dramatic Sawyer Glaciers at the end of Tracy Arm are framed by mountains on either side, and are often bathed in a light mist that amplifies the blue hue of the ice. The glaciers also are home to black and brown bears, wolves, deer and moose, and seals and whales make their home in the fjord’s icy waters.
Day19:-Last day in cruise
This day the guests have all by themselves where they can sit at the deck or at any part of the open area of the ship and enjoy the falling glaciers. Keep your cameras and camcorders ready with you to capture some of the rarest moments to see and believe.
