Day01:- Welcome aboard Thomas Cook’s ‘Turkish Wonders’ tour. Arrive in Istanbul.
Bon voyage! Today, you are off to for your exciting tour of Turkey. Embark on your flight to Istanbul Upon arrival at Istanbul, you will be greeted by your friendly and experienced Thomas Cook Tour Manager/ Local Representative outside the baggage hall. Proceed to your hotel and check in. Dinner at an Canadaian restaurant. Check into your hotel.
Day02:- Istanbul city Tour
Today after breakfast at the hotel, start with the Full Day Bosphorus tour. We start with the Dolmabahce Palace which was the last residence for Ottoman Sultans with 365 rooms and 22 saloons. Famous with the great collection of European antiquity, furniture and 4.5 tons chandelier. Local lunch will be provided today. Visit the City Walls next – The first breach of the walls was by the Fourth Crusade in 1204, the second by the cannons and troops of Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror in 1453. Lunch at Indian restaurant.
Next we drive by Bus to the Golden Horn as natural and extremely secure harbour, the Golden Horn has played an important role in the development of Istanbul. The inlet separates the European shore into two. It is approximately 8 km long, and the widest part is the entrance from the Bosphorus. Two streams drain into this inlet at its far end. Free time at Spice Bazaar (Egyptian Bazaar) – The air here is filled with the enticing aromas of cinnamon, caraway, saffron, mint, thyme and every other conceivable herb and spice. Lastly we take the Boat Trip on the Bosphorus which is a traditional excursion by boat along the waterway separating Europe and Asia. The shore is lined with old wooden villas, palaces of marble, fortresses, and small fishing villages. During the excursion you will pass the magnificent Dolmabahce Palace, and further along, the parks and imperial pavilions of Yildiz Palace. On the coastal edge of this park, is Ciragan Palace, 300 meters of is marble facade faces the shore. At Ortakoy a great variety of artists gather every Sunday to display their work along the street. Ortakoy is a symbol of tolerance with a church, a mosque and a synagogue existing side by side for centuries. You will also see the Rumeli fortress (from the Sea, no interior visit): Built by Mehmet the Conqueror in 1452 prior to the conquest of Istanbul, was completed in only four months to control and protect Bosphorus. It is one of the most beautiful works of military architecture anywhere in the world.
Then we visit Blue Mosque, standing directly opposite the Hagia Sophia the Blue Mosque is one of the most beautiful mosques in the world. Famous for its Iznik tiles this Turkish jewel is a must-see for everyone visiting Turkey. Next we proceed to the Hippodrome (Serpent Column, Obelisk of Theodosius & German Fountain of Wilhelm): Visit the square once used as a sporting arena predating Constantinople itself. Though a few fragments of the original structure survive, the square still boasts some of the most glorious monuments built in this great city. The Serpent Column, Obelisk of Theodosius & German Fountain of Wilhelm are the ancient treasures to be seen. Today’s Lunch is at one of the most authentic Turkish Kofte restaurants. Evening we visit the Grand Covered Bazaar – In this labyrinth of streets and passages are more than 4,000 shops with each trade having its own area the goldsmiths’ street, the carpet sellers, Turkish arts and crafts, such as hand painted ceramic plates, hand-honed copperware, brassware and trays, water ewers, onyx-ware and meerschaum pipes.
Day03:-Depart for Kayseri:
After American breakfast at your hotel, Proceed to the airport for your flight to Kayseri. Later proceed to Cappadocia and then check in. Post your local lunch at local restaurant, we take you for a quick panoramic city tour of Cappadocia to get a feel of this amazing destination. Enjoy Indian Dinner tonight.
Breakfast at the hotel and then we proceed for a full day tour of the many sights and sounds of Cappadocia. First we visit the Devrent Valley and walk through the beautiful and colourful formations and rock formations in the valley and through the fairy chimneys valley. Next we proceed to the highlight of the day i.e. Goreme Open Air Museum (Rock Churches) and here we visit the Byzantine rock carved orthodox churches, wall paintings and frescos dating back to the 8th century. It is possible to see geometrical wall paintings from Iconoclastic Period. Lunch Indian restaurant. Post lunch we visit the photo stop at Esentepe to relax and take pictures at one of the most stunning areas of Cappadocia. We will end the day with a panoramic visit at Uchisar and we will drive from below the castle of Uchisar, the rock formations and pigeon shelters before heading back to the hotel.
Day05:-Flight to Istanbul:
After American breakfast at your hotel, check out and proceed to the airport for your flight. Proceed to Topkapi Palace which is the grand palace that served as a residence to the Sultans for over 400 years. A must-see attraction in Turkey, the museum carries some of the most revered treasures in Islamic history including items belonging to the Prophet Mohammad. It also displays a magnificent collection of jewels, different weaponry, clothing, and calligraphy. *Harem not included. Enjoy Lunch and later check in the hotel.
Day06:- Time Time to say goodbye:
After breakfast, bid good-bye to all the friends you made on the Tour. After checking out from the Hotel, proceed to the airport, where your memorable Travelling Expo tour of Turkish Magic package comes to an end.
